Chiclana joins the Cities and Franchise Forum to promote local commerce and entrepreneurship

Chiclana de la Frontera, March 4, 2025.

The mayor of Chiclana, José María Román Guerrero, today received Eduardo Abadía, executive director of the Spanish Franchise Association (AEF), and Raúl Calleja, director of the Franchise Innovation Summit (FIS), in a key meeting to strengthen local commerce, promote entrepreneurship and attract investment to the city.

During the meeting, which was also attended by the municipal delegate for Economic Development, Manuela Pérez, representatives of the franchising sector presented Chiclana with an invitation to take part in the Cities and Franchise Forum, a strategic initiative that connects major brands with local entrepreneurs and investors to boost the economy and generate employment. This forum will take place within the framework of the Franchise Innovation Summit (FIS), which will be held on 15 and 16 October at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano in Madrid.

Mayor José María Román has highlighted the importance of initiatives such as this to continue positioning Chiclana as a benchmark in promoting trade and attracting new business opportunities. In addition, the possibility of organizing a presentation event in the city between April and May has been considered, where businessmen, entrepreneurs and the media will be able to learn first-hand about the positive impact of franchises on local development.

Chiclana thus becomes the first city to join a series of meetings that will take place in the coming months with mayors and municipal corporations from all over Spain. Through this round of meetings, the AEF and the FIS seek to consolidate the Franchise Innovation Summit as the major sectoral forum that promotes the growth of commerce and entrepreneurship in cities.

As part of this collaboration, Chiclana has been invited to lead a delegation of entrepreneurs and investors to the Franchise Innovation Summit, where they will be able to connect with leading brands and explore new expansion opportunities. The city will also be able to present itself at the Cities and Franchise Forum as an attractive destination for investment in franchises and business development.

With this first meeting, Chiclana reaffirms its commitment to economic growth and job creation through the franchise model, consolidating itself as a city open to investment and entrepreneurship, with the aim of attracting innovative franchise brands and concepts to the city.
