FAGDE joins SPORTCITIES' network of industry partners to strengthen professional sports management

Madrid, July 23, 2025

The Federation of Sports Management Associations of Spain (FAGDE), an organization that brings together more than 1,500 sports management professionals nationwide, officially joins the network of sector partners of SPORTCITIES Expo&Summit. With this agreement, both organizations strengthen ties to promote innovation, training and professionalization in sport across the entire country.

FAGDE’s mission is to promote continuous training, improving quality and efficiency in public and private sports management, to facilitate the exchange of experiences and professional practices among managers, to represent its members before institutions such as the Spanish Sports Council (CSD), the Spanish Olympic Committee and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), and to develop strategic projects for the sector as a whole.

The cooperation agreement signed between both entities aims to facilitate direct access for all professionals integrated within the FAGDE community to the SPORTCITIES platform. Specifically, the goal is for technicians, municipal managers, executives and consultants from across the country to attend SPORTCITIES on November 19 and 20 to share projects and knowledge, access the full congress program and specialized events, and become part of this new major instrument serving the sports industry through facilities.

Milagros Díaz, president of FAGDE, welcomes the alliance: “This step responds to our commitment to continuous improvement in the professionalization of the sector. Joining forces with SPORTCITIES and with the rest of the sector partners that make up the professional sports industry provides our members with tools and visibility for their projects, as well as access to a highly valuable knowledge network.”

Raúl Calleja, director of SPORTCITIES, adds:

“The incorporation of FAGDE enriches the professional community with the perspective of the sports manager. We want every professional in its network to find real opportunities for collaboration, training and local transformation at SPORTCITIES.”

With this alliance, SPORTCITIES and FAGDE consolidate a strong network for sports management in Spain, where more than 1,500 professionals will be able to benefit from a collaborative, innovative digital ecosystem aligned with the objectives of 21st-century sport.
