AFYDAD – Spain is Sport joins the network of sector partners for SPORTCITIES 2025

Madrid, July 18, 2025

The Spanish Association of Sports Goods Manufacturers and Distributors, AFYDAD – Spain is Sport, officially joins the network of sector partners of SPORTCITIES Expo&Summit 2025, the leading event in Southern Europe specializing in infrastructure, equipment and services for sports facilities. SPORTCITIES will take place on November 19 and 20 at the Feria de Valencia Events Center.

This boost comes in a context in which the sports goods sector exceeded €9.3 billion in sales in 2024, consolidating its role within Spain’s sports economy. The specialized retail channel accounts for nearly 74% of the total, with a strong presence of streetwear, outdoor and running.

For SPORTCITIES, the alliance with SPAIN IS SPORT strengthens its mission to connect manufacturers, distributors, public administrations and operators with decision-makers in urban facilities, sports tourism, fitness centers and active urban planning projects. In this way, the more than 250 brands that are part of SPAIN IS SPORT will benefit from preferential conditions for access to SPORTCITIES, thematic spaces, B2B networking and visibility within the professional summit.

The agreement includes AFYDAD’s prominent presence on the Organizing Committee within the network of sector partners, alongside all representative industry associations, an institutional stand representing the brand, and the opportunity to deliver a dedicated session during the SPORTCITIES congress. In addition, its members will have access to benefits such as showroom discounts, promotion through official channels and priority invitation access.

This step reinforces SPORTCITIES’ vocation to become a transdisciplinary platform that drives the modernization and sustainability of the urban sports environment, integrating health, innovation, active tourism and local economic development.

With this boost, AFYDAD – Spain is Sport expands its capacity for influence in urban transformation projects, while SPORTCITIES adds voice, weight and sector knowledge, strengthening its position as a strategic event and benchmark in Southern Europe.
